Terms of use

You must be 18 or older to create an account or join an event. Do not add anyone under 18 as a player or guest. 40X40 Club does not currently support junior players.

Give accurate information, keep your login secure and use only your own account. One account per person. Tell us straight away if you think someone has used your account.

Padel is a physical sport and carries a risk of injury, including from balls, rackets, walls, glass, falls, collisions, heat and overexertion. You take part in any game, event or tournament you find, join or arrange through 40X40 Club voluntarily and at your own risk.

You are responsible for deciding whether you are fit to play, using suitable equipment and footwear, following venue and organiser rules, and getting medical advice where needed. 40X40 Club does not own, operate, inspect or supervise venues or courts, and does not provide coaching, first aid, medical or emergency services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 40X40 Club is not responsible for any injury, illness, death, or loss of or damage to property arising from your participation, your travel to or from a venue, or the acts or omissions of other players, organisers or venues, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Games and tournaments are organised by the player who hosts them (the “organiser”), not by 40X40 Club, unless an event clearly says 40X40 Club runs it. Organisers are responsible for court bookings, venue arrangements, formats, rosters, fees, refunds, cancellations, conduct and safety at their event. When 40X40 Club runs an event itself, sections 2, 8 and 9 still apply.

Venues are independent businesses. Venue names, locations and details in the app are for information only and may be out of date. Showing a venue does not mean it partners with or endorses 40X40 Club. A spot on an app roster is not proof of a court booking or payment. Events can change or be cancelled, and we are not responsible for what organisers, venues or other players do or fail to do.

40X40 Club is free for players. We do not collect, hold or process payments for events. Any court share, fee or entry is paid directly to the organiser, for example by UPI, and is a matter between you and the organiser.

Check the amount, the person you are paying and the refund terms before you pay. “Paid” and “unpaid” labels are notes kept by the organiser; they do not prove a payment was made or a refund issued. We are not responsible for payment disputes, refunds, failed transfers or fraud by other users. Report suspected fraud to us, your bank and the national cyber crime helpline (1930).

Invite rewards. You can earn a free entry to an official 40X40 tournament (one hosted by 40X40) when three people who join with your invite link each play one. Free entries have no cash value and can't be transferred or exchanged. We may withdraw entries or referrals that come from fake or duplicate accounts or other abuse, and we may change or end the programme; free entries already earned fairly will be honoured.

Ratings, levels, confidence bands, standings, badges and statistics are estimates calculated by our own method from results recorded in the app. They are not an official ranking or qualification, and are not issued or endorsed by any padel federation, association or venue. We do not guarantee that a rating reflects a player's actual ability. Organisers who use ratings to decide who can join do so at their own discretion.

“Verified” means a result or rating is based on results confirmed by the players in the app. It does not mean 40X40 Club checked the result independently. Ratings can change after confirmations, corrections, disputes, deletions, inactivity adjustments or changes to our method.

Record results honestly. Do not invent matches or players, manipulate ratings or submit false confirmations. We may correct, void or remove results and adjust ratings to fix errors or stop abuse.

You are responsible for what you post or submit, including posts, photos, comments, names, scores and feedback. You must not post, upload or share anything that:

• belongs to someone else and you don't have the right to share;
• is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another person's privacy (including bodily privacy), insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, or racially or ethnically objectionable;
• is harmful to children, or promotes gambling or money laundering;
• infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other intellectual property right;
• deceives or misleads about where it came from, or knowingly spreads false or misleading information;
• impersonates another person;
• threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with other countries or public order, or incites any offence;
• contains viruses or other harmful code; or
• breaks any law in force in India.

Only upload photos of other people with their permission, and never share someone else's phone number or personal details without their consent. Do not harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against other players, send spam, scrape the service, try to access accounts or data you are not allowed to, or interfere with its security.

You keep ownership of your content. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to store, display and share it within 40X40 Club as needed to run the features you use. This ends when the content is deleted, except for shared match records, backups and copies we must keep by law.

We may remove content, void results, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or that put other players or us at risk, with or without notice. We follow court orders and lawful requests from government agencies.

The 40X40 Club name, logo, design, software, text, graphics and rating method belong to Varen Mehta, operating as 40X40 Club and are protected by law. You may use 40X40 Club for personal, non-commercial purposes. Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or build on the service, or use our name or logo, without written permission. Share cards and links made by the app may be shared as intended.

Venue names and other brands belong to their owners. Americano, Mexicano and similar formats are general padel formats that we do not claim to own.

We provide 40X40 Club free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we give no warranties, express or implied, including about fitness for a particular purpose, the accuracy of ratings, results or event details, or the service being uninterrupted, secure or error-free. Features may change, pause or end at any time, so keep your own record of anything important. Scores need a connection to save; an offline screen does not mean a result was saved.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 40X40 Club and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from the service or any event.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the higher of ₹1,000 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law, including liability for fraud.

You agree to compensate and protect 40X40 Club and the people who run it against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your conduct at or in connection with any event, any event you organise, your breach of these terms, or your breach of the law or anyone else's rights.

WhatsApp, UPI and payment apps, maps, venue booking sites and other services linked from 40X40 Club have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. Shared sporting records remain under “Deleted player” so other players keep their history. Read the privacy notice for what happens to your data. Sections 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 14 continue to apply after your account is closed.

Our grievance officer is Varen Mehta, 40X40 Club, Mumbai, Maharashtra. Email varenmehta@40x40.club with your name, the content or issue (with a link or screenshot) and what you would like us to do.

We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. Requests to remove content are acted on within 72 hours, and content showing a person nude, in a sexual act, or impersonated (including morphed images) is removed within 24 hours of a complaint.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a dispute with us, please email varenmehta@40x40.club first so we can try to resolve it within 30 days. Subject to that, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have under Indian consumer protection law.

We may update these terms. We will show the new date above and, for important changes, ask you to accept them in the app. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms and the privacy notice are the whole agreement between you and us about 40X40 Club. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
